From our roots in Sydney under Frazer’s direction to our dedicated Brisbane branch led by Craig, our fully mobile workshops bring heritage conservation directly to your property.

We have restored thousands of period windows and doors across Australia and the UK ranging from private residential homes to large commercial buildings.

We specialise in comprehensive timber conservation as well as modern upgrade solutions, seamlessly integrating draught-proofing, sound-proofing, and thermal energy efficiency into your original windows without altering their classic, historic appearance.

Complete Restoration, Sanding & Priming

Unlike other restoration companies that merely repair the frame and leave you with raw timber to manage, we deliver a complete, trade-ready finish. We go over and above by preparing the windows for your painter.

Our team takes care of the critical, labor-intensive groundwork -including meticulous hand and tool sanding and the application of a high-quality primer. This vital step seals the timber immediately, protecting your heritage assets from weather and moisture damage the moment our structural work is complete.

SWS specialises in the heritage conservation, draught-sealing, sound proofing and rot repair of traditional timber windows and doors.

Led by Frazer, our specialised mobile workshop provides standard service within 1 hour of the Sydney CBD. By request, Frazer and his team also travel to regional heritage strongholds, regularly servicing projects in Newcastle, the Central Coast, and Canberra. Restore your architectural history with 60+ years of combined expertise.

Brisbane

Craig's Team

SWS delivers premium timber window and door restoration, structural rot repairs, and acoustic upgrading for heritage and character homes.

Led by Craig, our Brisbane team offers standard mobile service within 1 hour of the Brisbane CBD, covering the entire metropolitan area, Moreton Bay, and Ipswich. On request, Craig regularly travels for regional and coastal projects, extending our specialist craftsmanship down to Byron Bay and Northern NSW.
